Fun, Laugh and Love @ Krabi
Happy New Year Guys!
My very first vacation for this year is KRABI. Kindly take note that Krabi is located at Thailand. I'm stressing this here because some people are not aware. Guess Krabi needs to look into promoting their tourism. Hehehehe
Coming back to my vacation..
This vacation was planed long time ago. Finally the day comes. Since our flight was at 7.10am, we had to make our move from home at 4am. Cab costed us around RM100 bucks because it was early morning ride.
Reached LCC Terminal, got our self in Old Town White Coffee. I needed Cold Chocolate drink to wake my brain (Shock therapy). And yes it did successfully.
Our flight took off on time. Thank god because reasonly I have been facing delays from Air Asia flight. Especially with their evening flights. It was 1 hour 15 minutes journey. Seriously I did not feel the difference when I reach Krabi because Thailand is an hour early than Malaysia. Therefore, it seemed like 15 minutes journey.
Got down, after clearing with the immigration. There was a counter for bus and cab. We took cab to Wat Tham Sue/ Tiger Cave Temple. The driver charged us like 300 Bath. We had to go there first before checking in as the temple is nearer to the airport and on the way to our Hotel.
The temple was beautiful and there are some upgrading works going on. The interesting part was climbing the steps. You want to know how many steps? Total 1237! Do you think I will climb up? Big Fat NOOOO..but my friend did.
I waited down, after my friends reach down we took some pics around there and we arranged the same driver to send us to the hotel. He suggested us his travel agent for the next day tour. So after negotiating with the travel agent lady we came to a conclusion 1000 Bath/pax for 4 Island Tour (Snorkeling, Lunch, Insurance and Hotel Transfer) and Krabi Town Tour in the night.
Ao Nang Miti Resort
So after confirming, we reached our hotel. The Guest Service Assistance was so kind to allow us for early check in. She asked us to wait 15 minutes so that the room can be ready. We was too hungry, so went to grab lunch.
My food and the price was not bad lar.
Checked in into our room. It was spacious and very clean. We liked it! Rested till 6pm.
Krabi Town
It was sitting in coach concept. From our hotel to the town took around 30-40 minutes drive. Once we reach there, the driver told us to be back at 9.30pm (on time).
We did most of our shopping there and makan at KFC. We was the last customer standing at the KFC counter as they usually close 9.30pm. Though we went during their closing time, the food that we receive was so fresh.
Day 2 - 4 Island Tour via Long Tail Boat
1st Island - Tub Island
It took us around 45 minutes to reach here. This island is very unique as there is like 2 island linked with sands. You need to be early as when the water level rose, you cant walk on the sands. Therefore, we need to be early and fast. If I'm not mistaken, the tamil movie Nanban was shot here.
2nd Island - Chicken Island
Firstly we did snorkeling behind this island. Next the guide brought us to take picture of the shape of Chicken. Like it or not just accept that it looks like Chicken!
3rd Island - Poda Island
This was awesome! So beautiful! We had ice cream here and literally taking sun bath without our knowledge. It was damn hot! Also we did swim here with the fish chasing us around.
4th Island - Phranang Cave
Beautiful too. Has lots of cave but most importantly the Phranang Cave where it is a believe that before the fisherman's goes fishing, they will pray here for good fortune.
That was the end of our Island hoping. It started at 8.30am and ended sharp 3pm.
Reached hotel, took shower immediately rented bike for 250 Bath/ 24 hours (which we did not utilise fully) and rushed to the McD. Tried their burger. Oooohhhh, its finger licking good (sorry KFC, I had to borrow your tag line). Continued our shopping at Ao Nang Beach as we have early morning flight to catch. It was kinda fun bargaining. Hehehee. After that had our dinner. This time we had the typical Thai food. Must try la kan!
Next reach hotel, start packing. Slept and woke up in the morning. 6am the same driver was there waiting for us and our GSA took the initiative to send us off though it was not her working hour. Very nice of her.
To summarize what I enjoyed in Krabi;
1. The beauty of nature
2. Punctuality
3. Cheap local food
4. Shopping
5. Friendly hotel staff and driver
To summarize what I did not enjoy in Krabi;
1. Some locals dis not understand English
2. HOT, HOT & TOOO HOT!
Make sure bring your sunglasses, cap/hat, lotion to avoid headache and sun burn due to the hot sun.
Other than that, it was an awesome trip. I would definitely recommend the hotel and the driver.
